Missouri University of Science and Technology Adds Datumate's Professional Surveying and Mapping Suite to Geoscience Studies

Missouri University of Science and Technology has chosen Datumate's Site Survey Solution to educate their students in the geological engineering program with the latest mapping and surveying technologies.

The geological engineering program will use Datumate's professional surveying suite that includes a DJI drone, DatuFly™ professional imagery app for drones and DatuSurvey™ Enterprise photogrammetry software for generating multitude of maps and models. These forefront surveying and mapping technologies coupled with hands-on practice will equip Missouri S&T students with up-to-date knowledge and tools to gain a competitive advantage in the market.

Spending the majority of the semester on technical software training was just impractical," says Lee Bunch, a lecturer in the Geological Engineering program.  "Datumate has provided us an intuitive, accurate and inclusive solution, which was a perfect fit for our students."

The use of advanced automation in professional geological engineering studies is turning surveying into a more attractive, technology oriented profession and is expected to increase students' satisfaction and grow enrollment by 10 to 15 percent.
