Research Assistant (Polymer / Membrane Chemist)

Position Summary:

3DB has an opening for a research assistance with knowledge and experience in polymer / membrane fabrication. You as research assistant will be expected to be responsible for an excellent practice in fabrication of membranes for energy storage applications. This also includes testing of these membranes in cooperation with the researcher.

What You Will Do:

  • Fabrication of membranes for energy storage devices followed by physical, chemical and electrochemical characterization, to fit the requirements of the full energy storage system.   

What is Required:

Education:

  • MSc. in organic chemistry and/or materials science and engineering, and/or chemical engineering
  • BSc. In Chemistry/ Chemical engineering with proven industrial experience in polymer chemistry and membrane preparation methods.
  • Outstanding graduates are allowed without experience.

Experience:

  • Experience in polymer science, membrane preparation and applications;
  • Experience in electrochemical systems, lithium ion batteries and/or other energy storage systems would be a plus;
  • Demonstrated experience in material and surface characterization techniques such as optical microscope, SEM, TEM, XRD, FTIR, NMR, Raman spectroscopy etc.
  • Experience in the preparation and handling of proper scientific documentation and experiment scientific reports.

Battery / Energy Storage Researcher (Electrochemistry Or Material Scientist)

Position Summary:

3DB has an opening for an Electrochemistry / Material Scientist. You as a R&D Researcher will be expected to take on the responsibility for the development of an anode and/or cathode based on our unique methods. Characterization and testing of these novel electrodes, which are components in next-generation, high energy-density 3D batteries.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop electrodes for lithium ion batteries and/or other energy storage systems using novel methods, and apply quantitative and qualitative techniques, generally electrochemical in nature, and other methods, for their characterization to fit the requirements of the full energy storage system.   

What is Required:

  • Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science and engineering, or chemical engineering.

  • Extensive experience in electrochemistry and materials chemistry.

  • Preferred experience with lithium ion battery and/or other energy storage systems.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in electroanalytical characterization, especially of energy storage devices.

  • Preferred demonstrated experience in material and surface characterization techniques such as SEM, TEM, XRD, Raman spectroscopy etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct and perform collaborative research and effectively interact with a broad range of colleagues.

  • Extensive experience in the preparation and handling of proper scientific documentation, and reports.

Polymer / Membrane Scientist (Material Scientist / Organic Chemist / Electrochemist)

Position Summary:

3DB has an opening for a Polymer / Membrane Scientist. You as a R&D Researcher will be expected to take on the responsibility for the development of coatings for energy storage devices, and assist in the development of novel membranes for such. Characterization and testing of these coatings and membranes, which are components in next-generation, high energy-density 3D batteries.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop protective coatings for energy storage devices and assist in the development of energy storage membranes using novel methods, and apply quantitative and qualitative techniques, for their characterization to fit the requirements of the full energy storage system.   

What is Required:

  • Ph.D. in organic chemistry, materials science and engineering, or chemical engineering with proven background and experience in polymer science, coatings and/or membrane preparation and applications.

  • Preferably experience in electrochemical systems, lithium ion batteries and/or other energy storage systems.

  • Preferred demonstrated experience in material and surface characterization techniques such as SEM, TEM, XRD, NMR, Raman spectroscopy etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct and perform collaborative research and effectively interact with a broad range of colleagues.

  • Extensive experience in the preparation and handling of proper scientific documentation, and reports.
